UTRGV School Of Medicine Receives Grant For Cancer Research


The University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley is getting more money to help research ways to treat prostate cancer.  The UTRGV School of Medicine says the Department of Health and Human Services is giving the college a grant for one-point-four-million-dollars.  The money will go toward researching ways to treat aggressive and late-stage prostate cancer that is resistant to established drugs and therapies.  Researchers will focus on clinical drugs developed through nanotechnology.
