Anticipation is building for the first home football game for the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley. Season tickets for games at Vackar Stadium are sold out, and more than three-thousand student tickets were given away earlier this week.

The university says each home game is expected to generate about a million dollars in revenue for the City of Edinburg. Saturday’s game against Sul Ross State is set to kick off at 7 p.m.
