Valley Community Health Centers To Receive Grant Dollars

Federal grant money is earmarked for four Valley community health centers. Brownsville Democrat U.S. Congressman Philemon Vela said Monday that 26-point-four-million dollars are coming to the Valley from the American Rescue Plan.

Vela says the money is to be used to build out Valley communities’ COVID-19 vaccination and treatment campaigns. The grant dollars are to be divided up between Community Action in Harlingen, Brownsville Community Action, Su Clinica Familiar and Nuestra Clinica Del Valle.
