Weslaco Democrat Introduces Bill To Start Law School In RGV

A Weslaco Democrat is hoping the Texas Legislature is ready to fund and build a new law school in the Rio Grande Valley. State Representative Armando Martinez has introduced a bill for that purpose in hopes it will pass during this session.

Other South Texas lawmakers have introduced similar bills during previous sessions but have seen them dropped over funding concerns. Martinez says technology could make his proposal less costly by moving courses and material online to help save money.
