The White House says the first round of 14-hundred-dollar COVID relief checks are going out this weekend. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki says it’s “the first wave.”
The payments for eligible Americans are expected to be rolled out over the next several weeks. As for who’s eligible for the checks, Americans who make 80-thousand or less per year, or couples who make 160-thousand or less, will get the one-time payment of up to 14-hundred dollars and an extra 14-hundred for each dependent child. Checks delivered by mail will take longer to arrive.
