The White House is denying reports that Tulsi Gabbard’s time as Director of National Intelligence may be coming to an end.

The pushback follows The Guardian’s reporting that President Trump polled members of his Cabinet about replacing Gabbard after she declined to criticize Joe Kent for resigning in protest to military operations in Iran.

White House Communications Director Steven Cheung rejected the report in a social media post on Thursday where he said Trump has “total confidence” in the DNI and added, “any insinuation otherwise is totally fake news.”

Reports of a DNI shakeup also comes after President Trump ousted former Attorney General Pam Bondi on Thursday.
