Winter Storm Causes Power Outages In Five States


The death toll from a winter storm hitting the East Coast is up to five, including two children. Heavy snowfall shut down most of D.C. yesterday, triggering an emergency.

Government offices and schools closed, even President Biden’s helicopter was grounded. Most areas in and around Washington saw six to 12 inches of snow.

The weather is also to blame for power outages in Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, Maryland and North Carolina.
