Bond has been set for a woman accused of stabbing a police dog in McAllen. Fifty-four-year-old Latonia Wallace was booked into the Hidalgo County jail on Tuesday on charges of aggravated assault, obstruction of a highway and interfering with a police service animal.
Investigators say Wallace stabbed police K-9 officer Mino near a shopping center in the 900 block of East Expressway 83 on Tuesday morning. Officials say the police dog was transported to San Antonio for emergency veterinary care and has lost his left eye. Wallace’s bond was set at 295-thousand dollars.
