WY House Rep: There Needs To Be A January 6th Commission

A top House Republican wants a bipartisan panel to investigate the Capitol riot. On CBS’s Face The Nation, Wyoming Republican Liz Cheney says the attack on the Capitol should not be a divisive issue and lawmakers should want to get to the bottom of what happened.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had proposed a bipartisan commission that had Democrats holding a majority on it, which did not get GOP backing. Cheney says Republicans have to embrace the Constitution and the rule of law, and not be the “party of insurrection.”
