A growing number of private businesses are ditching their diversity and inclusion programs. The Texas State Legislature is looking to ban DEI in governmental hiring.
The bill by State Representative San Gerdes is backed by Republican Governor Greg Abbott. He said in a statement that “race-based favoritism” must be rejected. He previously said that the state must have “color-blind” policies and practices.
