The state is ending the private operation of a jail facility in Willacy County. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice will take over the operation of the facility from Utah-based Management and Training Corporation.
Employees who currently work at the facility are being encouraged to apply to work for the state. A recruiting team plans to be at the location in July to help with the application process.
