The Texas legislature is officially heading for a special session. Some conservative lawmakers are asking the governor to put a bill on the agenda that seeks to keep adult material out of the children’s section at public libraries.

State Representative Steve Toth says it gives parents more power to dictate what their kids are exposed to in what should be a safe space. A spokesman for the governor refused to say if any more legislation would be added to the call.
