New Census Count

President Trump has ordered a new census that does not count illegal immigrants. That will be a big blow to Texas’s political clout.

UTSA Demographer Rogelio Saenz says the numbers are used to determine seats in congress. And, while the Lone Star State would lose influence, so will California. They have the largest illegal immigrant population. And, on top of that, Saenz says their population is declining thanks to the high cost of living
