Two Texas Congressmen are filing suit to stop a GOP-led redistricting effort. They’re asking a federal judge to put it on hold while their lawsuit plays out. The pair of democrats, Al Green and Jasmine Crockett, represent parts of Dallas and Houston that face the biggest changes.

The newly-passed political boundaries make their districts more friendly for republican candidates. The authors of the maps say the changes are needed to better represents the voting patterns in Texas
