The Justice Department says they are making strides in a crackdown on human smuggling cartels. AG Pam Bondi says, this week, they charged four men in Texas with a scheme to smuggle children across the border.
Court papers show that the kids were given THC gummies in order to keep them asleep through customs. One child was, allegedly, given too many and was taken to the hospital in El Paso for what was described as “marijuana poisoning.”
