A Texas State University history professor is out of a job after making certain remarks at a socialism conference over the weekend.

The tenured prof reportedly called for organized resistance to overthrow the US government. TSU President Kelly Damphousse announced Wednesday night that the professor had been fired for “inciting violence” in his remarks at the virtual conference.

The university hasn’t released the professor’s name, but conservative opponents identify him as Tom Alter.
