Governor Greg Abbott’s 2026 reelection campaign is experiencing fundraising success that may benefit other Republicans down the ballot.
By the time Abbott filed his July campaign report, he had about 87 million dollars in the bank. That figure may grow to around 100 million before he’s required to disclose the totals in another few months.
If the Democratic nominee for governor runs a campaign with lackluster fundraising, some of Abbott’s bounty may be redirected to Republicans in swing legislative and congressional districts.
