A trio of federal judges, this week, will consider whether Texas can use its new congressional map in next year’s election. It’s being challenged by the National Democratic Redistricting Committee.
The group’s Marina Jenkins says there was no reason for a mid-decade redraw. The federal judges will be deciding if the new districts can be used in the midterms and, if not, which map should be used instead.
