The former mayor of South Padre Island has been arrested for soliciting prostitution. The Texas Department of Public Safety announced the arrest of Dennis Stahl Monday. Stahl was booked into the Carrizalez-Rucker Detention Center, and his bond amount was not disclosed.
A DPS spokesperson said the details of Stahl’s arrest will not be released due to the ongoing investigation. Stahl was elected mayor of South Padre Island in 2017, and he resigned in 2019.
