A Hidalgo County constable is facing charges after a weekend crash near Alice. The Texas Department of Public Safety says Precinct Two Constable Martin Cantu was involved in the Saturday crash on State Highway 44.
Cantu’s vehicle reportedly rolled over during the crash. He was hospitalized in Corpus Christi following the crash and suffered an injury to his face. He’s been charged with driving while intoxicated.
