A suspected car burglar is in the hospital after being shot by the car’s owner. San Antonio police responded around noon on Sunday to the shooting on Culebra Road near Coppertree Boulevard.
Investigators say the car’s owner opened fire on a man who was trying to break into it. Gunshots wounded the attempted burglar and damaged the car.
The wounded man fled the scene, but police caught him and EMTs took him to a hospital in unknown condition. The car owner faces no charges, but he isn’t cooperating with the police investigation.
