A McAllen woman has been arrested after she allegedly abandoned her children after calling police. Investigators say 26-year-old Estrella Justine Alaniz called dispatchers on December 19th and said she was too intoxicated to care for her children.
Officers responded to the 34-hundred block of McColl Road and found four children under eight-years-old alone in an apartment. Alaniz has been charged with four counts of abandoning or endangering a child.
