Lawmakers Looking To Further Law That Bans Social Media

Republican State Representative Jared Patterson is looking to pass a law that bans social media for anyone under 16.

Patterson introduced the legislation last year, but it was shot down in the Senate. This comes as Australia banned social media accounts for children younger than 16.

The law covers platforms from Meta, like Facebook and Instagram, as well as apps like Snapchat, TikTok, X, YouTube and others.
