Authorities are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Mission. Police were called to the IBC Bank, located at 121 South Shary Road, Wednesday afternoon to investigate a reported kidnapping.
Officers encountered two suspects in a white car, and one of the suspects reportedly opened fire. Officers returned fire, wounding one of the suspects. An officer was also hurt and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Both suspects are in custody.
The Texas Rangers are investigating the officer-involved shooting, while the Mission Police Department is investigating the alleged kidnapping.
