The FBI is now leading the investigation into the liquid attack on Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. Fifty-five-year-old Anthony Kazmierczak is accused of squirting liquid on Omar during a town hall, and was booked on a third-degree assault charge.

Officials later said preliminary reports indicate the substance was not toxic. Despite the attack, Omar continued with the town hall and later wrote on X that she would not be intimidated from doing her work.
