An automotive parts company is planning to lay off nearly 600 workers in Brownsville. First Brands Group has sent a notice to the Texas Workforce Commission saying the employees will lose their jobs on April 30th.
The layoff will affect 345 workers at the Billy Mitchell plant, 183 employees at the Titan Distribution Center and 43 people at the ASC facility. The company has also announced closures at maquiladora plants along the U.S.-Mexico border
