By Cameron County is implementing a burn ban. The county has placed an immediate ban on burning leaves, brush, grass and other types of debris.
The ban will be in place for 90 days or until it is lifted by county leaders. Anyone caught violating the ban can be charged with a Class C misdemeanor and face fines of up to 500 dollars.
