A new oil refinery will be built in Brownsville. President Trump announced Tuesday that America First Refining plans to open a refining complex at the Port of Brownsville.
The company says the refinery will be built on 240 acres of land and will include six liquid cargo docks, 13 general cargo docks, and direct rail connections.
The 300-billion-dollar deal will also include a 20-year agreement to purchase and process over a billion barrels of U.S. shale oil while producing up to 50 billion gallons of refined petroleum products. It will be the first new major oil refinery built in the United States in nearly 50 years.
