The Rio Grande Valley is getting a state grant to help expand healthcare workforce training. Governor Abbott announced the 375-thousand-dollar Texas Workforce Commission grant during a graduation ceremony in McAllen Tuesday.

The money will go to Certified Nurse Aide training in the region. More than 50 students were recognized for completing CNA and Certified Medication Aide training yesterday.
