President Trump says U.S. military forces will remain positioned near Iran until a “real agreement” is reached. Trump said on social media last night that if the agreement is not followed, military action will resume on a larger scale.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Wednesday that peace negotiations would continue with Iran so long as the Strait of Hormuz remains open. She also claimed that reports about Iran closing the strait were “false.”
