A doctor accused of trying to kill his wife on a hiking trail in Hawaii has been found guilty of attempted manslaughter.
Gerhardt Konig was accused of beating his wife, Arielle Konig, with a rock last year. Konig denied trying to kill her, saying he was defending himself after she tried to shove him from a cliff following an argument about an alleged affair.
The 47-year-old Konig had been charged with second-degree attempted murder. The Honolulu jury reached its verdict after deliberating more than eight hours.
