By A driver is facing an expensive repair bill after his car took an unexpected dip in the Port Isabel channel.
Investigators say the driver thought he was in park in an area between South Shore Drive and Martinez Street on Sunday morning. The car was actually in reverse, causing it to roll into the channel. Police say the whole thing was an accident and that no one was hurt.
