The Justice Department is moving to dismiss the convictions against former Proud Boys and Oath Keepers involved in the Capitol riot. The department on Tuesday called on a federal judge to overturn the seditious-conspiracy convictions against group leaders who were involved in the 2021 siege of the U.S. Capitol building.

President Trump has already commuted the prison sentences of some of the groups’ members. This move would permanently dismiss the indictments.
