An Alamo man has been arrested after allegedly using a horse whip to injure a child. Sheriff’s deputies were called to a school in Alamo on Monday morning to investigate a report of child abuse.
The victim reportedly told investigators that the man used a horse whip on their thighs, legs, back, stomach and arms. That led to the arrest of 47-year-old Romeo Maldonado on a charge of injury to a child.
Maldonado’s bail was set at 250-thousand dollars during a hearing yesterday.
