By President Trump told lawmakers at the White House congressional picnic that he hopes to end the conflict with Iran “very quickly.” He said Iran was eager for a deal and argued the situation “should have happened for 47 years.” His remarks came just hours after the Senate advanced a war powers resolution aimed at requiring the withdrawal of U.S. forces from the Iran conflict.
