A pedestrian has died after a weekend crash in Willacy County. The crash happened Saturday afternoon on Interstate 69-E south of Sebastian. A Chevy Suburban towing another vehicle lost control and hit a Nissan Altima, causing the Suburban to run off the highway into a ditch.
A pedestrian identified as 33-year-old Juan Hernandez of Lyford was hit by the Suburban and later died from his injuries. The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
