Paxton: Midterm Convention Scheduled For Dallas In September

President Donald Trump is coming to Texas for a high-profile GOP event prior to the November midterm elections.

Attorney General Ken Paxton announced on Monday that the Republican National Committee is planning a pre-midterm convention in Dallas in September.

The gathering will bring national attention to Texas, where Paxton is the Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, opposed by Democrat James Talarico. The convention will be the first of its kind for a midterm election year.
