By A sweeping housing affordability bill has been approved by the Senate with the goal of lowering prices. The bill was passed Monday in a rare, overwhelmingly bi-partisan 85-5 vote. It’s designed to remove some of the red tape and make it easier to build homes, while also establishing limits on institutional investor home-buying. It now goes to the House for a vote.
