U.S. Senator John Cornyn and U.S. Representative Jasmine Crockett evidently haven’t got over losing their parties’ primaries in the Senate race.
Cornyn says he won’t campaign for Attorney General Ken Paxton, who defeated the longtime incumbent in the GOP primary runoff last month. Crockett is declining an invitation from State Representative James Talarico to headline the Democratic state convention this week.
Talarico topped Crockett in the party primary in March. Cornyn and Crockett have both expressed doubt that their party’s nominee can win the general election in November.
