Attorney General Ken Paxton’s campaign for U.S. Senate says he raised more than nine million dollars in the second quarter of 2026. Most of the money was reportedly donated after Paxton defeated incumbent U.S. Senator John Cornyn in the May 26th primary runoff.
Paxton had previously raised less than eight million dollars since launching his campaign in April of last year. The successful quarter indicates that the Republican donor class is falling in behind Paxton after previously having shown a preference for Cornyn.
