Jury selection for a Cameron County capital murder case is getting underway. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty against Rogelio Martinez, Junior, who is accused of killing San Benito Police Lieutenant Milton Resendez in 2023.
More than 200 jurors reported to the Cameron County Courthouse Tuesday. The selection process is expected to be slow because of the death penalty component, and legal experts say it could take several months to find enough jurors.
