By A record-breaking deployment at sea is reportedly creating a mental health crisis aboard a U.S. aircraft carrier. About five-thousand sailors and marines have been on board the USS Abraham Lincoln since November, partly because of the war with Iran, and family members say there have been multiple attempts by some sailors to jump overboard.
As of Wednesday, the aircraft carrier had been at sea for 264 days straight. Last week, Navy leadership reportedly met with some of the family members and assured them that the sailors had access to mental health workers.
