Republican National Committee Midterm Convention Coming To Dallas

Dallas officials are preparing for next month’s Republican National Committee midterm convention. The event will take place at the American Airlines Center on September 9th and 10th. President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are scheduled to speak.

Events on the 10th include a tribute to Charlie Kirk and a commemoration of the 25th anniversary of 9-11. Officials estimate it will cost more than one million dollars for Dallas Police to provide security for the convention. They plan to seek federal reimbursements similar to those for disasters and for the FIFA World Cup.
