The Drug Enforcement Administration seized over two-thousand pounds of methamphetamine hidden in a shipment of cabbage in the Rio Grande Valley.

The DEA’s Houston Division said the seizure was made by its McAllen office as part of a Homeland Security Task Force investigation. The FBI, Customs and Border Protection, Border Patrol and the Texas Department of Public Safety assisted with the investigation.

The DEA shared a video on social media showing the methamphetamine hidden in green wrap being covered by cabbage leaves. No other details were provided on where the shipment was intercepted, its destination or any arrests made.
