By The City of Alamo has a new assistant city manager. Iris Alvarado Padilla was appointed to the position on Tuesday. The Rio Grande Valley native is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in public administration and has previously worked for the City of McAllen, Hidalgo County and the Edinburg Police Department.
