A man could face up to 99 years in prison after being convicted on murder and arson charges. The jury hearing the case of Julio Diaz found him guilty yesterday.
Police arrested Diaz in 2023 after Robert Wise was shot to death outside the McAllen Masonic Lodge. He was also found guilty of setting fire to that building a year before the shooting, as well as a 2023 fire that destroyed the Weslaco Masonic Lodge. He will be sentenced on September 21st.
