Bessent Promises Intense Economic Pressure On Iran

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says the U.S. is preparing to put economic pressure on Iran the likes of which have never been seen.

Bessent told Newsmax that the measures will be a combination of economic isolation and the continued blockade of Iranian ports and the Strait of Hormuz.

His comments come after Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth said the U.S. is prepared to keep up the naval blockade “indefinitely.”
