The sheriff’s office is investigating after a person’s body was found inside a burning pickup truck in southern Harris County early Thursday.

The Houston Fire Department responded around 4 a.m. to the burning truck on Fellows Road near the South Belt and State Highway 288. The body was found in the back seat after the fire was out.
