The Border Patrol is reporting the seizure of more than 1.6 million dollars’ worth of cocaine hidden among a shipment of limes. A news release says the seizure happened on Monday of this week at the Pharr International Bridge cargo facility.
Officers selected the truck for inspection as it tried to enter the United States from Mexico. A search turned up 50 packages of cocaine weighing about 125 pounds hidden in the truck’s cargo. Homeland Security special agents are conducting a criminal investigation.
