Weeks after Cameron County approved tax incentives to help attract a shipyard for the Navy’s next generation AI powered drone ships, comes word that the official announcement will happen this morning.
KURV has learned that the project Alpha shipyard is coming to the Brownsville port and the announcement will be made around mid morning today from Austin. This massive multi billion dollar investment is expected to create up to 10,000 jobs over several years.
